LXConsole View Menu


The View menu gives access to auxiliary windows and controls the content of the channel table.

View-> Setup

This command opens the Setup window.

View-> Live

This command sets the display mode of the main window to show the live cue. The live cue reflects the current output status. Changes made in live mode are sent to the DMX output. Live mode also receives DMX input when selected from the File->Import menu.

Live mode displays the current cue number (the number of the last cue played using the Live window) in the upper right corner of the main window. Live mode displays the next cue in the cue list in the Inspector.

View-> Cues

This command sets the display mode of the main window to show the document's cues.

View-> Groups

This command sets the display mode of the main window to show the document's groups.

View-> Subs

This command sets the display mode of the main window to show the document's subs.


View-> Show/Hide Toolbar

This shows or hides the toolbar of the main window.

View-> Customize Toolbar...

This command allows you to drag items to/from and rearrange the toolbar..


View-> Zoom

This submenu sets the zoom of the main display to predefined values. Zoom can also be controlled with the slider in the lower right corner of the main window channel display.

View-> Display Options

The Display Options sheet allows you to set options for how the main display looks.


View-> Inspector

This submenu shows and hides the Inspector pane. It also allows switching between the Inspector's tabs. And, the channel info submenu configures the columns shown in the patch table.

View-> Inspector-> Show|Hide Inspector

Shows or hides the Inspector pane. The Inspector pane and the main display are always hidden in scenes mode. Using this command to show the Inspector will exit scenes mode and restor visibility of the main display.

View-> Inspector-> Cue Info

Switches to the cue info tab. Cue info shows the current cue/group/sub when working in these display modes. In Live mode, the cue info is shown for the next cue that will be triggered by a Go command.

View-> Inspector-> Additional Cue Options

Switches to the cue options tab. Cue options are available for subs and cues when working in those modes. There are no options for groups. And, the options for a cue are not editable in Live mode.

View-> Inspector-> Commands

The Commands tab contains buttons that are used when working with the command line. All buttons have keyboard shortcuts that are shown in the button title.

View-> Inspector-> Channel Controls

This command selects the channel controls tab which allows access to the selected channel's subchannels without switching the main display's mode.

View-> Inspector-> Cue List

This command selects the cue list tab which shows the timing for cues and their parts.

View-> Inspector-> Group List

This command selects the groups list tab which shows recorded groups and their names.

View-> Inspector-> Sub List

This command selects the subs list tab which shows recorded subs and their names and current levels.

View-> Inspector-> Channel Info Patch

This command selects the patch tab which shows a table of all channels and subchannels.

View-> Inspector-> Scenes

The scenes tab contains a table of buttons used for playing back specific cues in scenes mode.

View-> Cue Sheet

This command opens the Cue Sheet window.

View-> Effects

This command opens the Effects window.

View-> Sequences

This command opens the Sequences window.

View-> Track Sheet

This command opens the Track Sheet window.

View-> Notes

The notes window allows editing text based notes that are saved with the main document.
