LXConsole Setup-> Translations

The Profiles tab of the Setup window allows setting output characteristics for each dimmer. The default is linear 1:1 output. The additional profiles, selected from a popup button in the table, change the dimmer's level before it is sent to the dmx output.

The "Hot Patch" profile causes the dimmer to be always at full. The "Non-Dim" profile causes the dimmer to be at full for any level above zero.

The other profiles cause the dimmer's output to follow its level on a curve. The "Slow" curve rises less at lower levels and more steeply in the middle. The "Fast" curve rises quickly and then slows down at higher levels. The "Relative" curve is similar to an IES square law curve.

The three curve profiles can be defined in a file named "profiles.txt" that is placed in the user's ~/Library/Application Support/lx/lxconsole folder by choosing LXConsole->Install Extras->User Profiles.
