Windows

The standard installer includes a copy of Open JDK and requires no other installation. (If you have another version of Java installed elsewhere, it shouldn't be a problem.)

If you'd like to replace the openjdk used by this version of LXPlan, you can do so by replacing the openjdk folder inside %APPDATA%/LXSeries4Windows/LXPlanApplication/Java.

Important: If you have trouble with installing an update, remove the older version with the Programs and Features control panel and then install the newer version. LXPlan is able to use the settings and libraries from LXFree for Java which are found in the folder %APPDATA%/LXSeries4Windows/LXFreeForJava. You may wish to duplicate and rename this folder %APPDATA%/LXSeries4Windows/LXPlan to keep your old LXFree for Java settings separate from the ones used by LXPlan.

Linux

LXPlan is distributed inside a Debian install package (.deb) and includes a desktop launcher.

To install, open a terminal window and change to the directory containing the lxfreeforjava.deb file:

~$ cd Downloads

Then type:

~$ sudo dpkg -i lxplan.deb
