Setup Menu

The Setup menu gives access to configurable parts of the plot. These items include libraries and other information associated with the key.

The Frames library is used to cross reference color frame names and cuts-per-sheet. This information is used by a Color Count report to determine the number of sheets of color needed for the total frames of a certain size. Color frame sizes are associated with key entries in the entry info.

The Lamps library is used to cross reference lamp codes and wattage. This information is used when editing a key entry. Entering a defined lamp code will automatically fill in the wattage.

The Templates library contains a catalog of templates or patterns for reference and for use with rendering in the model window.

The templates library has two parts, standard templates that are included with the application and document templates that are stored with each plot as part of the key. The standard templates cannot be edited. However, a document template with the same name as a standard template will be used in place of the standard template.

The Color Library is used to automatically color light symbols based on their color. The automatic tab of the preferences determines whether the stroke or fill of a symbol is colored based on the color found in the library. In addition the color library contains information about the transmission of the color at different wavelengths.

The color library has two parts, standard colors that are included with the application and document colors that are stored with each plot as part of the key. The standard colors cannot be edited. However, a document color with the same name as a standard color will override the settings for the standard color.

The Color Library window has an explore tab that allows you to browse the library for colors based on their relationship to the color wheel. The color library window allows you to create a list of "favorite" colors. You can then access this list by double-clicking the word "color" in the first column of the Inspector's info table and assign colors to symbols from a menu.

The Data Fields sheet allows you to edit the names and properties of data fields that are used by lights, positions and key entries.

The Device Values panel contains a table of values that are defined for a particular controllable address of the selected symbol.
