Hi Claude.
I have a show programmed for conventional lights but have to play it in a theatre only with LED lights.
I've changed all channels from type "dimmer" to the LED type it will be.
Now I would like to set the colours/gels to the different lights.
Is there a way to do it so the light keeps the colour the whole show or do I have to set each light for each cue?
It might be very simple but I'm not a light tech so please accept my apologies in advance........
Best regards,
Stefan

Re: Colours
Apparently the first reply didn't save. Here it is again:
There are a couple ways of going about what you want to accomplish.
One way is to set all the colors the way you want them and then copy those channels into all of the cues. Best results with this are going to be if you select a range of fixtures of the same type to do all at once, rather than mixing and matching types. Here's how that would work:
Assume there are 21 cues and you want to set the colors of channels 5 thru 10 to be the same in all of the cues (and 5 thru 10 are currently set to the desired color).
In the command line press [5], [/], [1], [0], [a], [c], [1], [/], [2], [1]
This expands to "5>10@copyTo:1>21"
When you press [return], you'll get a dialog that allows you to select which subchannels will get copied. Choose only the colors, not intensity, strobe or any others.
This operation copies the current colors of channels 5 through 10 into all the cues. Cues added later may need to have this process repeated if the colors do not remain when they are recorded. But, it is relatively easy to copy a combination of subchannels that create a color into all the cues.

Another way is to individually park the levels of each subchannel. Again, if the channels are set to the desired color, you can use the subchannel display popup to change the main display to show the levels for each of the colors. When the main display is showing the level of a particular subchannel eg. "Red" or "Blue", the patch table's level column shows the current level and you can copy that into the park column. This could be tedious but it will result in the exact subchannels being parked and unchanging, even when new cues are added.

The final option requires the very latest build of LXConsole 5.9.5 (16120.3). This build adds command line syntax to park-in-place. Here's how that would go with the above situation:
In the command line press [5], [/], [1], [0], [a], [p], [.]
This expands to "5>10@Park-In-Place"
When you press [return], you'll get a dialog that allows you to select which subchannels will get parked at their current levels.
To unpark 5 thru 10, in the command line press [5], [/], [1], [0], [a], [p]
This expands to "5>10@Park"
When you press [return], you'll get a dialog that allows you to select which subchannels will get un-parked.
Note that the difference between park-in-place and un-park is the dot. You can also park the channels at a specific level (current displayed subchannel only) eg. "5>10@Park50".
**As always, the latest build is found on the download page in the section called "Other Downloads" This is different than the current release version which is the link at the top of the download page.**
Note that this post was edited for a newer version, (16120.3) . LXConsole 5.9.5 (16120.2) did not expand the dot after @Park to read @Park-In-Place so the command line read @Park. not @Park-In-Place

Re: Colours
Thanks!!
Well.......before I got your answer, I tried choosing the colour for each fixture (in this case R371 and R372) in cue 1 with tracking on. I then updated all cues.
Except the S4 lustr, it seems to work fine, but I think it might be because the lustr can't make the right blend for those colours......
