Hi Claude !
Is there a direct way to hook a fixture onto the floor ?
For example if I use a fog-machine, a music-light on an orchestra-stand or just a profile bolted on a board, I have always followed one of the two following methods : either to create a virtual position, set its height to "0,0m" and then make it transparent, or to set the fixture's Z-offset to -6,50m (the basic height being 7,0m). Is there a more simple way to do this ?
All the best,
Pierre

Re: fixtures on stage floor
No, creating a hidden position object is the best way. You can create a single hidden position named "Floor" and associate any number of lights with it by entering "Floor" for their position field. This associates the lights with the position by name rather than (more usually) by intersecting the symbol with the line.
If you lose track of where you put the hidden line , you can always select it by opening a "Positions" report and clicking on it in the report table.
