origin to import dxf

Postby ssm2017 » Mon Feb 12, 2024 2:54 pm

Hello,
thank you for building this software for lighting designers.

using: 2.9.0(17820.1) / windows 10
i am testing lxplan and i would like to begin by importing a dxf file.
the result is that the x origin is fine but the y origin is moved 6.15 cm down.

steps to reproduce :
using qcad (or something else), i create a cross made with 2 lines with intersection at the origin. (20 meters in x and 20 meters in y). the document units are meters and metric.
using lxplan, i go to the document tab :
set "centimeters"
document size A3
center origin L/R and T/B
import dxf -> dxf units : cm / scale 1.0
checking with the lxplan rulers, i can see that the x position of the imported drawing is fine but the y position is at -6.15

am i missing something ?
is it a bug ?

Yes, This is not working correctly.

For now, you can fix it by making the document square before importing the DXF.

It should work with any document size and it will be fixed. I'll post when an updated version is available.

Updated installers for Windows are now available. The update fixes this issue.
