The latest build (today) is Version 6.2.1 (17217.1). It has improved error reporting if the network sockets cannot be created for receiving OSC. You might try this and look at the messages window when you fail to establish the OSC connection. You should also restart the computer and then only open LXConsole (disable re-open windows on restart) and see if the problem goes away.
