command line for subchannels ?

Postby Le Dioude » Tue Jun 07, 2022 5:34 pm

Hi Claude,

is there a command line (or another way) to affect subchannels to a fader on a midi controller ?
For example, i would like to control r/g/b and intensity values of a led fixture on my Akai Midimix controller ?

Thank you in advance for your answer.

You can use the Setup window's midi tab to detect incoming MIDI from your controller. It is likely your controller sends a control change when you move a fader. When you have detected the MIDI message, click the + button to add an action assigned to that message. To control the red subchannel of channel 12, enter 12.red@%v as the action command. You can also use the specific subchannel number (12.23@%v).

If the Setup window's MIDI tab does not detect MIDI after clicking the Detect button (The message shows up in the text field in the lower right corner) then check the Preferences' MIDI tab to be sure your controller is detected and assigned as the input source.
