Postby admin » Fri May 06, 2022 2:12 pm

Do you know if I can use LX Console (for lights) and Millumin (for video) on the same computer simultaniously, using LX Console to send Cues to Millumin ?

LXConsole's OSC Out preferences panel relates mostly to bi-directional control such as with TouchOSC or Lemur. You don't need it to send messages to Millumin.

In Millumin, choose Window->Device Manager. Confirm that the OSC input port is 5000.

Then, choose Window->Interaction Panel. Add a test action by clicking the + button and selecting OSC. The OSC address should be "/test'. Make it do something like start a column that you can observe easily.

In LXConsole, switch from "Live" to cues mode. You should be looking at cue 1 blind (not live). In the Inspector, choose the Cue Options tab. Add an action to cue 1. Select OSC as the action type using the popup in column 1 of the actions table. Once you have selected OSC, click the Edit button. Enter "127.0.0.1:5000~/test". (don't include the quotes!) This means to send /test to the local loopback address, port 5000. Click OK to set this as the OSC action.

When you playback cue 1 in LXConsole, you should see whatever you selected happen in Millumin.
