hi Claude,
i bought a icon platform m+, which is the correct setup to have faders follow submaster position if i made changes not in the icon controller but on lxconsole fader window?
i would like to have a bidirectional comunication.. sometimes i use also channel and submaster remote control from touch osc on iphone (i.e. for focusing) and it would be nice if iocn controller follows changes on level..
i know this argument has been already discussed on old forum but search in old forum don't work (i searched for "submaster, midi, out") and there are a lot of topic in it...!!!!!
thank you!
luca

First, your controller must be in straight MIDI mode, not Mackie or HUI.
Then, it needs to be connected.
The Preferences MIDI tab allows you to select the controller as the MIDI input.
To control a submaster, exclusive of using a fader, open the View->Setup... window.
In the Setup window's MIDI tab, click the Detect button in the lower right corner.
Move the fader and you'll probably see "cc-?" in the text box. (? is the control change number)
Click the + button and then select SUB- as the action. Edit this with the submaster number. The result should be SUB-12 if you want to control sub twelve.
Verify that the fader does indeed control the submaster.
Back in the Preferences window's MIDI out tab, select the controller as the output target.
Make sure that the "Send sub/master change" box is checked.
Verify by typing [s][1][2][a][5][0] into the command line ("sub: 12@50", replace 12 with your sub number!)
You should see the motorized fader respond to the change in the submaster level.

I think the problem is that i cannot select straight midi mode in icon platform menu, only first 4 modes are selectable.. and i need to select mode 7 (user define) ..

The latest build of LXConsole, 6.0.4 (16518.5), includes a fader configuration that supports Mackie control (MC). This might solve the problem.

The latest build of LXConsole, 6.0.5 (16524.1), now also supports pitch bend messages triggering MIDI actions. This means a DAW controller using Mackie protocol can trigger actions defined in the Setup window's MIDI tab for the messages sent by its faders.
