osc control to a video shutter

Hi Claude,

often I need to use a video shutter to black out videoprojector.

Usually a insert the shutter on and off command inside a cue..but it would be really nice to control dmx shutter indipendently from cues using an osc command sent form qlab.
I can control single channel value from qlab using osc command /cmd.lxconsole/n@p
what about the possibility to also set a fade in or out tempo?
is there a way to control via osc a channel in and out percentage and tempo indipendently from a cuelist?

thank you!

Luca

Probably the most efficient way to do that is to create an effect that has a single step which fades the channel for the shutter over the desired time. Make sure that the effect does not loop! (but has manual step selected) Then, trigger the effect through a received OSC message.

A channel based effect has a fade-in time and a fade-out time in the master tab. Use those to set your timing.

Start Effect will then fade the channel to the level set in the single step with the master "in" time.

Stop Effect will fade out the channel over the master fade "out" time.
