Changes in device properties - device control

Postby rkworden » Tue Apr 19, 2022 7:14 pm

There is a new column to the right of .sub with a, looks like, lower case greek rho "ϱ"? What's that column for?

The "fine" column has disappeared. Is it redundant with the .sub 500 series?

Thanks,
Randy

That column is the number of bytes (currently restricted to 1 or 2). A two byte subchannel replaces the old method where there would be two related subchannels, one of them with a number +500 that was the fine or second byte. The new design that designates a single channel as two bytes or 16 bit is more accurate to the majority of devices.

In the example you posted, I would delete the second intensity and make the first one two bytes. You should see the automatic DMX offset increase by two so that shutter remains at +2 from the base address.
