how to open a venue plan to scale?

Postby bfausto » Thu Apr 04, 2024 5:00 am

Hello!
I have been given a top view plan with a 1:100 scale.
How to I open and resize this PDF plan to make sure that it is to scale and my measurements are correct?
thankyou!

PS: long time user of LxBeams but so far I always found a workaround, like a measurement in the plan to use the rescale the PDF venue plan.

Thank you!

You can drag and drop the PDF onto a new file in LXBeams. This will create a layer for the PDF and resize the plot to match.

But, you will want to scale the PDF by 200% to match LXBeams' scale of 1:50 (metric).

Select the PDF after you've drag/dropped it. In the Inspector's Measurements table, change the width% and height% to 200 each.

Then, switch to the document tab. From the popup to the right of the width and height fields, select Match Contents. This will make the plot the same size as your scaled PDF.

Be sure to use the Layers table and switch layers when you begin drawing. The imported PDF will remain beneath the first, "untitled" layer.
