Symbols, GUI elements and font sizes

I think the symbols, GUI elements and font sizes are too small and should bigger for better readability.
I made a screenshoot were you can see what I mean, on left LXBeams on the right Pages (sorry german version).
It is made on 16" MacBook Pro with standard resolution (1792 x 1200) for Retina Displays.

Thanks for the suggestion. The size is compact to get as much information as possible on smaller screens. I wonder if anyone else has an opinion about this.
