Custom Symbol

Postby SRBaba » Tue Aug 01, 2023 5:40 am

Hi!
I'm Seb, I'm a new LxBeam user, and I have some questions.
Is anyone knows if we can use a software (like illustrator) to draw custom symbols ?
What king of file can we import in the "edit symbol" window ?

Thanx, have a nice day !

The following are links to PDF slides from teaching a comprehensive LXSeries workshop. There are a couple of methods of creating a custom symbol. The first is to just use LXBeams to draw your symbol using its regular drawing tools and convert that group of graphics into a symbol. The second is to create a detailed custom path using the path editor. Most of the standard built-in USITT type symbols are this type.

These slides walk you through step-by-step how to create a custom symbol using either of the above described styles. You can import a graphic and use that to trace over to make a custom path type symbol (which is the way used in the 1c slides).
