Re: what's a "temporary version"?

You are likely using your email as a temporary license instead of using the license file or manually entering the license that you purchased. You can refer to the license email you received for instructions and the specific name code combination or license file needed to validate your license. The s...

Re: OSC address changes randomly

What exact version of LXConsole does this happen with? LXConsole will try to find a usable network address if the address set in the preferences is not available. But, at least the latest builds, should not change to any address if the set address is missing, only to a new network address. So, if yo...

Re: Fading a sub

You can assign an action to a cue that fades the subs master down along with the down time of the cue. In "Cues" display mode, navigate to the cue. In the Inspector's "Cue Options" tab, add an action to the cue and use the popup in the actions table to set it to: " Down -> S...

Re: The model and its z level

For clarification, the coordinate systems are relative to each other: If you use the document origin, the translation settings for the model move the model in relationship to 3D objects in the main drawing. If you don't use the document origin, the translation settings for the model move the 3D obje...

Re: The model and its z level

Just to be sure, you are using the document origin correct? That matches the origin of the document to (0,0,0) in the model's world coordinates. That is going to be necessary for your stage height to be rendered so it matches the document world. If you don't use the document origin, the world origin...

Re: The model and its z level

I don't know why this wouldn't work. I tried a couple of computers and LXBeams 6.5 both Intel and Apple Silicon with Sonoma and the z translation for the model worked as it should. All I can think is that you do have to hit return/enter after changing the value in the controls of the model window. I...

Re: Auto numbering not working

Select the position and look in the Inspector's position tab. What does the numbering option say?

Next, make sure that all the lights and the position are on the same layer.

If not, make the layer containing the position selectable.

Re: Ode mk3

The first thing to check is the settings (preferences) and the patch. In the Preferences' DMX Out tab, be sure you have sACN enabled. It seems likely this is the case if the ethernet activity light blinks when running a cue or adjusting a channel. Also, in the Preferences' DMX Out tab, click the Con...

Re: Changing Layer Sequence

The only way to re-order the layers used to be with the popup button. Then, drag-and-drop replaced the menu commands. Drag and drop works the same in all Java tables. You have to select the row and move the cursor sharply to "tear off" the item and allow it to be repositioned. Perhaps it i...

Re: User file type

Yes, Only marked channels/subchannels in a group are recalled when it is used.

For example, a group can be used as a color or position preset by only selecting and marking a channel's color or pan/tilt subchannels.

When you say you exported your profile, did you do that from LXConsole or LXBeams?
