Re: Text changes in title block

The title block is an automatically generated group of objects. If you make a change to one of a title block's elements, that change will be lost when the title block is regenerated because all of the elements are replaced. If you ungroup an automatically generated title block, it becomes just a col...

Re: pointer as the go to

Double-clicking a tool "locks" it so that it remains active until another tool is selected. The default behavior is to select an object after it is drawn so that its properties can be edited. Which is why the mode switches to the selection tool. When a drawing tool is "locked", a...

Re: layer shortcuts

The dim state of layers is saved along with a user defined view. So, if the layer was dimmed when the view was saved, it will be dimmed when the view is recalled.

To be clear, you want a shortcut to make all layers either on or off?

Re: Astera Symbols

I'm not familiar with astera. Does anyone else use them? Would it be valuable to add them to the LXSeries library?

Astera Symbols

Could you build astera light symbols into lx free and lx beams? (titans, Helios, Hyperion, ax1, ax5, ax9, ax10, nyx bulb, etc). We use them a lot in the film world and it would be a big help.

Re: Mac M1+

That shouldn't be an issue. LXBeams runs with no problem on M1 and MacOS 12. There's no reason why it won't run faster and better on M1 Pro and M1 Max chips. The current version is dual binary, Intel/Apple Silicon, so it runs natively on the whole M1 family.

Re: Can I run 2 version of LX

You can't run two copies of LXConsole on the same computer. They would both use the same preferences. Which means you couldn't direct the outputs differently. And, other connections like OSC would be unpredictable in which running copy would respond.

Re: nanocontrol 2

The fader is just controlling a submaster. Changing the level of the submaster will not change any recorded preset. But, I think you are asking about the live output: If you GO to the recorded cue then levels won't change when you lower the fader. Submasters are HTP for intensity (and optionally so ...

Re: CUE stack?

LXConsole does not really have a cue stack associated with submasters. You can assign a list of subs to a fader and switch between which one is actively controlled. But, it is a different concept from some other boards.
