Re: flash button
Probably the easiest way to use a button on a MIDI controller to flash something on LXConsole is to use it to control a channel or submaster. Here are the steps to do this: 1) You need to have your MIDI controller connected to your Mac in a way that it can communicate with LXConsole. you may need to...

Re: Edit Symbol Bug
This is a problem with the symbol edit sheet drawing correctly in Dark Mode. It should be fixed in LXBeams' latest build, Version 6.5.7 (20707.1).

Re: how to open a venue plan to scale?
You can drag and drop the PDF onto a new file in LXBeams. This will create a layer for the PDF and resize the plot to match. But, you will want to scale the PDF by 200% to match LXBeams' scale of 1:50 (metric). Select the PDF after you've drag/dropped it. In the Inspector's Measurements table, chang...

Re: Independent Subs
Another option that works well with houselights is to park the channel at a low level. Parked channels are never recorded in cues. (Make sure that Cue->Live->Master Park Enabled is checked) For example, if house lights are channel 88: [8], [8], [a], [2] [5] 88@25 [8], [8], [a], [p], [.], [enter] 88@...

Re: Independent Subs
The independent option for a sub makes it disregard the Subs-Master.
What you are looking for is Record: not record:
Press [shift] + [r] instead of just [r] to get Record: on the command line.
Record: does not include levels caused by subs when recording a cue.

Re: Fader control
In the Settings/Preferences Window's Live tab there is a checkbox: Mark Overrides Submaster Level Marked channels in Live can hold their levels. It may be uncommon but it is an option to have them override subs or cues. Both Mark Overrides Sub Levels and Unmark Live Channels on GO are settings relat...

Re: Fader control
I'm not sure I understand your question. You can turn on fixtures in the live window but not with a sub? When you fade the sub up do the levels of these fixtures show in the live window? You should see yellow levels for channels being set by a sub in the live window. (yellow assuming you haven't cha...

Re: Fader control
You can only assign subs to faders. In the Inspector's faders tab, there are three buttons next to each fader. The ">" and "<" buttons switch the fader to controlling the next and previous sub in the list of subs assigned. The "I" button brings up the setup sheet for th...
