Plan View

The Plan view is the main view of the plot and is where most of the drawing happens. The functions of the Inspector and menu commands are found in popover windows accessed by tapping the buttons at the top of the screen.

Files stored on your iPad or in iCloud are loaded using the Files button found in the upper left corner of the plan view tab of the LXBeams app. Tapping the Files button will show a list of available files.

The Undo and Redo buttons function like undo and redo menu commands.

The Inspector popover provides many of the same drawing and data access functions as the Inspector panel in the desktop applications LXFree and LXBeams.

The Beams popover contains functions that control the display of beams which are drawn in both plan and section views.

The Mouse button toggles the display of the floating mouse control which is used to precisely locate touches and taps in the plan view.

The Insert popover controls which shape will be added by the insert (+) menu item.

The Options popover contains controls for document, layer, display and preferences settings.
