Create Report opens a report window. Reports are loaded from templates that are stored with the plot or in a library folder. To add a report template to the plot, it must first be loaded from the library. Once a report has been added to the plot from the library, any changes to the report's structure are saved with the plot. The Remove Report command removes a report template from the plot. Report templates determine the type of report and contain options for presenting the data. There are two main types of reports, list reports and count reports. A report template for a list report has keys that determine how the data is sorted. List reports can be customized to show different columns of data. A count report, such as a color list, counts the number of items that appear in the plot. LXPlan is installed with a number of report templates in its library. The location of the lx/reports folder varies with the operating system. You can save report templates that you have customized by choosing "Save" from a report window's "File" menu. This allows you to use the report with other plots. Report templates are stored in .lxxreport files which are a simple XML based configuration storage container. |
